I am a PhD student at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and a member of the Collaborative Research Center CRC1173 “Wave Phenomena”. My research is carried out within the junior research group “Vortices and nonlinear waves” led by Dr. Lars Eric Hientzsch.
Before joining the KIT, I studied mathematics at Sapienza Università di Roma, Italy, where I obtained my M.Sc. degree. Here you can find my CV.
Research interests
My current research focuses on mathematical models for charged quantum fluids and their interaction with electromagnetic fields. At the macroscopic level, these are models for compressible fluid flows, while, owing to their quantum nature, they are closely related to nonlinear Maxwell–Schrödinger equations. In particular, I am interested to understand how quantum effects and electromagnetism govern the dynamics of quantized magnetic vortices, as well as how these models converge to classical Euler–Maxwell systems in appropriate singular limits.
Beyond my current research, I am interested in dispersive equations, harmonic analysis, spectral geometry, and qualitative properties of partial differential equations on Riemannian manifolds. My master's thesis, Spectral Optimization Problems for the Magnetic Laplacian (PDF), investigated spectral properties for the magnetic Laplacian on two-dimensional Riemannian manifolds.
